I tend to regularly eat the same stuff. I’m not a picky eater. I enjoy most foods. I just don’t want to spend a lot of energy deciding what to eat. Life is simpler when I know that I will have granola and yogurt for lunch and I don’t have to waste time thinking about that decision. I eat the same stuff every day until I burn out and then I change it up. With some foods, it can take a long time before I get sick of the routine.
The point of this story is that right now, I love Queso. It’s been at least six weeks. I am not sure how it started but I have been eating a lot of spicy cheese. Most nights before bed, I have been enjoying some corn chips and Queso until my tongue burns. It seems that I am unable to fall asleep until I have made certain that my belly is full and that I will have wicked heartburn for hours. I am not sure that this Queso addiction is a good long-term plan but I am enjoying it right now.
