Pepper Dog and I were out for an evening stroll. A bit of color was out of place in the grass and it caught my eye. It was a tiny piece from a jigsaw puzzle. It was a shade of blue that made me think of twilight on a summer evening. There was a bit of purple on one of the corners and some black specks floating across the opposite half. Why was this puzzle piece in the grass? Did someone lose this single piece? They will never again be able to complete the puzzle. Were they discarding the puzzle and this little guy jumped ship? Did they not realize they were losing pieces and now random pieces of the sky are scattered around the neighborhood? The metaphor on this one goes deep.
