I visited some friends. These were old-school friends that I hadn’t seen in a long time. It was a fantastic visit. I am so blessed.
I was on my way home. It was a two-hour drive and I was in a big hurry. The minutes were ticking by and I was pushing hard to trim time from this trip. I had a great visit but I was desperate to get home. Traffic came to an unexpected halt. There was a major accident and the road was blocked. This major highway was now at a standstill. Vehicles were backed up for several miles in both directions. I was not getting home in a hurry. My annoyance with the situation was growing but then it occurred to me that there were other human beings involved with this situation. I said a little prayer for the first responders and the people involved in the accident. It’s all about perspective. Getting home safely should be more important than getting home quickly.
