Non-Refundable

If you have been keeping score at home, you know that my truck died. It’s been an epic journey trying to secure alternative wheels. I purchased a car from one of those online companies that are managed by robots. When it was delivered, I discovered that the car was not what I was looking for and by that, I mean that it was completely non-functional. Fortunately, the robots provided a loophole and I was able to return this disaster of a car within my seven-day window. Based on the fine print, all of my upfront costs would be returned except for the “non-refundable” delivery fee. This “non-refundable” delivery fee is a small price to pay to learn a valuable lesson about not doing business with robots. I just got an email informing me that within the next 10 days, I could expect to see my refund of the “non-refundable” delivery fee. That was a direct quote. They are refunding my “non-refundable” fee. Do you think that the robot that came up with the “non-refundable” delivery fee is still employed?
