Monopoly

We were doing some cleaning and tidying around the house. We have five different versions of Monopoly. We have Smurfs, Super Mario, Travel Around the World, Regular, and Wicked. We don’t need five different versions of this game. At one point, we had at least three additional versions that we have already culled from the heard. The Simpsons was a great version. I can’t remember what made me get rid of it. I know why they make all of these iterations of Monopoly. It’s kind of obvious. They are all basically the same game but every household in America holds many versions of this product. Every time that my kids get obsessed with a new character, someone buys them the corresponding version of Monopoly. I understand the business model. The real question is, Why don’t more games do this same thing? Why am I not playing the Minion version of Risk?
