I have a tendency to listen to the same thing over and over. I lock into a record and put it on repeat for a week. When I burn out, I start jamming to a different record.
For two weeks, I’ve been listening to a record by Nina Simone called Here Comes The Sun. I think that all of the songs are covers. All of the tracks are great but the title song is fantastic. In some ways, this version of “Here Comes The Sun” is much better than the original. Don’t get mad at me. Everybody loves the Beatles but this performance has so much grit. She is serious about finding that sun. Thank you Ms. Simone. I love this song.
