Last week I attended a high school orchestra concert. It was Hannah’s final concert of her high school career. It was a perfect event. She had the opportunity to present an original piece that she composed as part of her music theory class. The orchestra played several of her favorite songs. The seniors were honored for their dedication to the music program. In response to the tremendous applause at the end of the show, they performed an encore that included the “Main Title from Star Wars.” I could go on and on about how proud I am. We could do a “Cat’s in the Cradle” kind of thing. I’m proud of her. It’s been an amazing journey through the high school orchestra. This movement has ended, but the song goes on.
