Doctor Dobro

I recently asked my friend Steve to play with me at a festival. Steve plays the dobro. While on stage, I referred to him as “Doctor Dobro.” I don’t know where it came from. It was random jibber-jibber that flowed from my mouth. We had a brief guffaw about the name and went right into the next song.

When our set was over, we were way up in the middle of a field putting our instruments into our vehicles, when we heard it. The master of ceremonies for the event (commonly known as “the Professor”) mentioned our set. “What a great set from Brother Jack and Doctor Dobro…” Steve looked at me. “I guess this is officially a thing now.” So, if you run into Steve, he won’t like it but you should probably call him Doctor Dobro.
