Jesus had a Thanksgiving too

He had his twelve closest friends there
They were sitting there beside him
He sliced the bread and he poured the wine
He said, sorry boys but tomorrow I’m gonna die
They said, yeah right Jesus, yeah right, you ain’t going nowhere
Sure enough, they got up the next day and found out its all over
Maybe things haven’t gone the way you’d hoped for lately
Just hasn’t been the year you’d planned

Think I’ll have a little slice of pie for desert

She would have loved to have been here
But we lost her earlier this year

Filled with their pride and piety

Why are you eating with all them losers and bums

He said, no man, I’m sitting here with the people that love me
And I don’t care what you all think
