Wednesday Words
I previously posted the words to this new song. I thought it was finished but I have since discovered that it needed some tweaks to the second verse. Now, it might be finished. It feels like a winter song. Sharing it now isn’t seasonally appropriate. I guess the muses were not on the same schedule as mother nature. I’ve got some “Cold Wind” ready for when the right time comes back around.
The weather changed
There’s a cold wind blowing
I can hear it outside
Rattling my siding
It was a fine day
Tomorrow will be cold
Sometimes I need
A violent change
Shake my frame
A cold wind
To get where I’m going
The sky like steel
The wind is howling
And I’m watching
From my lonely tower
Light fades
Trees bow down
Open my window
A violent change
Shake my frame
A cold wind
To get where I’m going
It blows through me
Just like a knife
Wind so cold
It feels like fire
Rattles my cage
Shivers my bones
Brings a purity
A violent change
Shake my frame
A cold wind
To get where I’m going
