Cold Wind

Wednesday Words

Today, I am sharing three verses of my new song about the cold wind. It is appropriately titled, “Cold Wind.” Everything is always a work in progress but I think this is ready for consumption.

The weather changed
There’s a cold wind blowing
I can hear it outside
Rattling my siding
It was a fine day
Tomorrow will be cold
Sometimes I need
A violent change
Shake my frame
A cold wind
To get where I’m going

The sky like steel
The wind is howling
And I’m watching
From my lonely tower
The days go marching
Trudge on and on
I’m done wandering
A violent change
Shake my frame
A cold wind
To get where I’m going

It blows through me
Feels just like a knife
Wind so cold
It feels like fire
Rattles my cage
Shivers my bones
Brings a purity
A violent change
Shake my frame
A cold wind
To get where I’m going
