I was sitting in the audience, waiting for the concert to start when I got the news. My oldest kid sent a text from backstage. She had just been notified that she was accepted into her top choice for college. Hannah has worked so hard to get to this point and I am so excited for her. This is big news. The concert proceeded and the Christmas music was a perfect soundtrack as I ran through all of the emotions in my head. I am proud, anxious, and happy. I feel a warm satisfaction knowing that she has a general plan for the next couple of years. Then it dawned on me that this is her last high school Christmas concert. I love Christmas music. It was a big night.
