Better Video

There are rules to the game that we are supposed to follow if we want people to pay attention to our music. I don’t know why I even care. All of the experts decree that if you want to be a successful musician, writer, poet, or artist you have to make videos that fit a particular mold. Videos were supposed to be recorded with a phone. The shaky, phone-quality videos were supposed to appear authentic like you have just spontaneously recorded a brilliant new song or life-changing performance. Preplanned spontaneity seems like the opposite of authenticity. This formula has limitations but the barrier to entry is very low. This style made it very easy for me to try many different ideas during the past era of content creation.

Now, the rules have changed. People realized that they prefer watching videos that look good and sound amazing. I’m happy that all of the stuff in my feed looks and sounds better. Did you notice? This shift means that if I want anybody to notice me, I need to make better stuff. I need to learn a lot about making good videos. I may need to invest in a good camera. I love to learn new skills. I can’t wait to make a good-looking video. Stay tuned.
